According to Romeo Agresti of Goal, Bayern Munich’s initial bid of roughly €60 million for Matthijs de Ligt was turned down by Juventus.
The club’s and the defender’s valuations are still pretty far apart, but negotiations for the trade will continue.
Hasan Salihamidzic, the sporting director for Bayern, even made a personal trip to Turin to conduct the negotiations.
The German goliaths are keen to close a deal, but they will have to fork up a sizable sum to do so.
After De Ligt rejected a new contract offer from them, Juve are apparently asking for somewhere between €80m and €90m to seal the deal.
