Shatta Wale, a dancehall and reggae musician from Ghana, has finally explained why he skipped the “GhanaPartyInThePark” even though he was the featured performer on the fliers for the event. Since Shatta Wale didn’t show up to the show, he has been trending for days.
Many Ghanaians living in the UK have been asking the organizers why the major performer was unable to attend.
As has been widely reported online, Shatta Wale’s performance was a major factor in many people purchasing tickets to attend the event. Organizers and fans are extremely confused as a result of his absence since they believe they have been tricked. Shatta Wale has “explained” why he was unable to attend, saying that the event’s organizers disregarded his demand even after he dropped it in order to accommodate them.
Shatta Wale claimed in an interview with Hitz FM that his absence was due to the organizers’ inability to meet his demands.
The full title was going to be “Akwaaba UK in partnership with Shatta Movement – GOG Experience,” and we agreed to that because we had a plan for him to create a GOG flyer for me in conjunction with Akwaaba UK. I now requested them to assist bring my team along.
As you are aware, I have a large team, but we agreed to cut it to only 4 individuals, and they subsequently contacted to tell me they couldn’t do anything. Later, Shatta Wale added that he was even open to giving a free performance.
